Les Arques, Department Lot, France
Photos taken: August 2005
Some pictures taken from the picturesque village of Les Arques, a few miles from Cazals in the Lot region of France.
A good two pictures to start with. The first is on the road to Cazals, however we aren't too sure what it is. The second is a building in town.. again..im not sure of the significance.
This is the road into Les Arques, while the second picture shows the war memorial.
The first picture below shows a narrow little road/lane in Les Arques, the kind of which leads you to the magnificent little church in the picture on the right.
Art work here. On the left is a boar stuck in the tarmac. Yes, it is as weird as it sounds. On the right are some sculptures by a fellow named Zadkine who used to live in Les Arques, and is apparently quite famous for his modern(?) cubist art.
Some posters telling us that the local fete is due to happen soon.
