It's all about Oranje

Since Monday very little has happened here. I've done another four or five job interviews, but besides that I've been keeping busy with hockey.

The job interview went well. I was up against six other candidates, but unfortunately it came down to being between me and someone else, who was marginally better qualified. So I didn't get it. So I'm back to filling application forms for jobs that I don't particularly want...

Not great.

I've had a fairly tough week this week.

First of all, my grandma passed away last Saturday. She led a long life, and was one of the most inspirational people I had the pleasure of knowing. And the best grandma anyone could ask for.

So I was over in Holland for a few days, and caught up with the family. Despite the sad occasion, it was nice seeing everyone again. It made me very proud of my parents too.

I got back last Friday, and made my way back to Aberdeen. Sophie came up to see me, bless her, so we spent Saturday together. Went to see "Finding Neverland" at the cinema, a lovely tale starring the lovely Kate Winslet and the amusing Johny Depp. Also went for a pub dinner with some of our friends and had a quiet few drinks.

That afternoon however, I received a phone call from someone. I have to attend an interview for a job tomorow. A job I really really want. So I spent most of today (once Soph had left anyway) preparing for that. I'm just about to go to bed.. I'll let you know how I got on tomorow.

Today we won at hockey. Three - nil against Clydesdale 2s in the cup. May it be the start of a magnificent cup run.
