Thursday at work
I enjoyed today at work. My fourth day began well. I was entrusted with a fair amount of work, and the first three hours literally just disappeared. It was a bit quiet before lunch and quiet for a few hours after, but then I managed to get on with things again. I felt like I had done a fairly good job that day, until at 4:30 I suddenly got handed another five jobs to do. I didn't manage to leave until 6:30, and it was fairly flat out for two hours.
So mixed feelings about that. For the first time in months I feel fairly fulfilled; that I've done something constructive work wise. But equally tonight I had hardly any time for myself (I didn't get back till 7pm, and by the time I'd had dinner it was almost 9pm). Oh well, at least I know I get to enjoy the weekend more.
Tomorow is dress down Friday. Quite a scary prospect sort of ish. Plus lunch delivered.

Day 2 at work..
Day two at work was not terribly different from the first. Thankfully there weren't the first day nerves (it was day 2 after all), and everyone was much less formal and more pleasant. I did arrive far too early, for I had to get the bus in today, and not trusting public transport I gave myself way to much time. The day passed without much incident; I got to do a few more orders, finish a few on my own, send out a few enquiries and getting a few issues clarified. I guess it's what I'm going to be counting as normal over the next few months, but for now it was welcome relief from the boredom of sitting there not really knowing what to do. Yes that's right, I quite enjoyed it.
I need a hobby though. I've been bored at home too. Which makes life rather dull. I guess that means I need another project...

The first day at work..
I had my first day of my new job today. Quite scary for the first 15mins, and completely fine after that. Very dull to start with though, and though the job is simple enough, learning the ins and outs of the job might take quite a long time. The main problem was that everyone was so busy that there was little time to help me get trained...
Anyway, the real reason is to post a few pictures of the clothes I bought to wear to my new proper job. I spent a small fortune in M&S but I suppose it's worth it.
Pictures to come soon.

Mid-week blues
This week I was due to finish work, but eventually only worked on Monday. Monday night I began to feel very ill, and I've had a very unsettled stomach for days now. So today was supposed to be my last day at work, but now I must go in tomorow to sort everything out with them. If I'm feeling okay that is.
Big day on Monday as I start my new job. Quite looking forward to it now, though with the change to getting paid monthly the financial situation is going to be quite tight over the next four weeks. Still, at least when I do get paid now it will be worthwhile.
I'm still hopeful of going skiing over the next few days. Best snow so far this year up in the Highlands. Hopefully I'll get the chance...

Life falls together..
I have had a very satisfying week.
Last week was my birthday. My parents, gave me perhaps the best present I have ever had. A return trip to Australia. It's difficult to explain just why it is so good. It just is.
Soph gave me a fossil big tic watch, which though I really really liked, I swapped for something very slightly more casual. The picture I think is the one that she gave me. I can't find a picture of my new one. I love it regardless.
Finally a last birthday mention goes to the incredible amount of people who turned up at reasonably short notice for my night out. I was expecting about 6 of us, and I think at one point there were double that, together with people coming and going at different times. It was really apreciated :)
The day after my birthday my life became very much brighter. I had a job interview on the Thursday, which went well, and was called up for another interview too. By next Tuesday I had been offered two jobs, and was at the second interview stage for another. So after accepting one of the jobs, I resigned from my current job on Thursday, and am now working my notice, waiting to start my first real proper job, with a fast growing reputable service company to the oil industry. So much for Australia, for the time being I'm staying here - but thankfully this time it's for the right reasons of beginning a career.
The same day Soph was also offered a job in Aberdeen. While hers is not directly career related, she does seem very enthusiastic about starting.
What a difference ten days make.
